Investment and property management software company Yardi has joined the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care’s Seniors Housing Actual Rates Initiative, the entities announced Tuesday.

Yardi Voyager now will include a button by which users can send data, aggregated for anonymity, to NIC. Senior living community operators then will be able to compare their pricing with that of other communities within the NIC MAP Data Service.

“By incorporating NIC Actual Rates reporting as a standard feature in their software, Yardi has enabled operators to easily participate in NIC Actual Rates and benchmark their own properties as well as contribute to transparency in the space,” NIC President and CEO Brian Jurutka said in a statement.

Many senior living companies previously committed to providing monthly data feeds to NIC for the Actual Rates Initiative, covering more than 250,000 senior housing units nationwide. Data contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the NIC Actual Rates Report.

Yardi will host a class titled “NIC Reporting: Review of the Setup & Data Collection Process” for its clients attending the Yardi Senior Living Forum March 20 and 21 in Santa Barbara, CA.
