2024 McKnight's Tech Awards entry deadline approaching

Tuesday, July 9, is the final deadline to enter the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards program, expanded for 2024.

The annual showcase is an opportunity for stakeholders in senior living, skilled nursing and home care to demonstrate leadership and outside-the-box thinking when it comes to today’s tech. Submissions don’t have to involve complicated or costly devices or programs.

In this year’s contest, providers and vendors have 16 categories in which they may enter. Included are opportunities for provider-devised programs, not-yet-to-market innovations and programs and innovations already in use. Along with some of the categories from the past (Building Bridges, Innovator of the Year, Quality and KISS) newer categories exist in categories such as electronic health records, resident/patient monitoring and safety, medication management, staff scheduling, care planning, falls management, care planning and more.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be bestowed as warranted.

See McKnightsTechAwards.com for more information about this year’s competition and the entry portal to submit nominations.

A national, independent panel of judges will adjudicate entries, with a particular interest in approaches that lead to smarter workflows and better quality of life for staff members and residents, patients and clients. Winners will be recognized for technology uses that improve efficiency, demonstrate innovative thinking or harness new tools.

Finalists will be announced Aug. 14, with winners unveiled during the virtual McKnight’s Tech Awards + Summit on Oct. 3. The event’s accompanying virtual summit will offer educational webinars that will enable providers to further their operational successes. Details will be forthcoming about the full agenda.

Opportunities also will exist to celebrate the winners in person. In addition, the victors will be featured in coverage both online and in print. Winners will be recognized across McKnight’s Senior Living, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and McKnight’s Home Care and all their social and traditional media platforms.Coverage of past McKnight’s Tech Award Senior Living track winners can be found here.
