Louisville, KY-based Trilogy Health Services on Thursday announced plans to develop or expand its senior living or skilled nursing offerings in four Midwest states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

“Our goal is to deliver a comprehensive continuum of care in underserved markets while expanding options in our established communities,” said Leigh Ann Barney, president and CEO. “We look forward to launching these exciting developments, creating new career opportunities and meeting the growing demand for high-quality senior living accommodations and care.”

Trilogy said it plans to kick off the expansions this month with the addition of 26 new independent living “patio homes” at The Lakes of Sylvania in Sylvania, OH.

Patio homes, in fact, factor into many of the company’s upcoming investment plans. The homes have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, high-end finishes, a one-car garage and modern kitchens, according to the organization. Trilogy will handle all maintenance inside and outside the homes, and a clubhouse will offer fitness classes and outings to residents.

In September, the company will begin construction on 32 new patio homes and a clubhouse at The Willows at Harrodsburg, Harrodsburg, KY. And in October, Trilogy will begin building 14 new patio homes at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, IL.

Then, in the spring, Trilogy will add 24 new patio homes and a clubhouse at the Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville, IN, and will add 30 new patio homes and a clubhouse to The Meadows of Ottawa in Ottawa, OH.

The company has more than 130 senior living and care communities throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

“Our growth strategy focuses on expanding access to comprehensive care within our regional markets,” said Peter Massey, senior vice president of development and facilities management for Trilogy Health Services. “Additionally, adding new patio homes provides more options for seniors looking to downsize and find a supportive community.”

Trilogy also plans two additional construction projects.

In August, the company will break ground on a new campus in Portage, MI. The location will offer assisted living, memory care and skilled services, including short-term rehabilitation. The campus will include 49 skilled nursing units, 42 assisted living units and 12 memory care assisted living units.

And in September, Trilogy will begin constructing a second-story addition at The Springs at Mooresville in Mooresville, IN, which will add 32 new assisted living units.
