Technology and capital will be two of the topics when the McKnight’s Spring Online Expo returns for the 14th year on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19.
Attendees of the free event, organized by sister media brand McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, can earn up to five continuing education credits from the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards — one for each webinar offered.
A 1 p.m. ET session on March 18, “Closing the door on cyber attacks,” will examine the struggle organizations have with identifying the various access points into their systems and data. Presenters will include Jennifer Griveas, chief human resources officer and general counsel, and Michael M. Gray, vice president of information technology and compliance, at Eliza Jennings, Cleveland.
Other sessions on March 18 will include “PDPM: Improving competencies and care while reducing risks” and “Handling the pressure: Staging wounds properly to maximize care and reimbursements under PDPM.”
A 1 p.m. ET session on March 19, “Finding capital in 2020,” will examine how economic conditions and market fundamentals shape the types and costs of capital sources operators can count on during the year ahead. The presenter will be National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care Chief Economist Beth Burnham Mace.
The other session on March 19, “How to take on risk,” will answer questions long-term care providers have about institutional special needs plans (I-SNPs).
