Female and male professionals from all layers of senior living and care are invited to take part in the second McKnight’s Women of Distinction Forum on May 19. It will feature three educational webinars offering business insights from Lifetime Achievement Award winner Mary Ousley and a dozen other top executives.

The forum will feature three educational webinars, each offering the ability to earn one free continuing education credit. It takes place the day after the 2021 Women of Distinction awards ceremony. Both days’ events are open to a broad audience. There is no cost to attend. Registration is ongoing.

The first forum session will be “Addressing pandemic challenges with success.” It will showcase industry leaders in senior living and skilled nursing who have successfully dealt with COVID-19-related challenges. The 11 a.m. ET webinar will offer best practices and tips. 

Speakers will include Covenant Living Communities and Services CEO Terri Cunliffe, RiverSpring Living Chief Operating Officer David Pomeranz, Life Plan Communities Senior Vice President/Senior Director Allison Pendroy, and Goodman Group Vice President Kim Te Brugge. Cunliffe and Te Brugge will be inducted into the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor the night before.

“Finding success in increasing diversity and inclusion” is the second session. It will start at 12:15 p.m. ET and will feature speakers including Christian Living Communities President and CEO Jill-Vitale Aussem, Brookdale Senior Living President and CEO Lucinda “Cindy” Baier, A.G. Rhodes CEO Deke Cateau, and Eclipse Senior Living CEO Kai Hsiao. Baier is a 2020 McKnight’s Hall of Honor inductee.

The third session, “Secrets to career success,” will start at 1:30 p.m. ET and lead with Ousley, who is chief strategy officer for PruittHealth. Five 2021 Hall of Honor inductees will fill out the dais: Allure Group Chief Operating Officer Melissa Powell, Green House Project Senior Director Susan Ryan, LeadingAge Senior Vice President of Research Robyn Stone, DrPH, Belmont Village Senior Living founder and CEO Patricia Will, and Birmingham Green CEO Denise Chadwick Wright.
