A large digital health platform for older adults has bolstered its emergency response system tools and is forging new partnerships with senior living and care clients.

Sentrics Solutions recently announced it was bringing Becklar’s Belle X mobile response pendant under its umbrella. The Belle X pendant allows long-term care operators to track users inside or outside the facilities and communities and can alert for emergencies such as falling.

The Belle X pendant will now be part of Sentrics’ Ensure life safety system package, the company said.

That system’s newest places of use will be two new senior living and care partners that have announced agreements with Sentrics over the past several weeks.

Plymouth Place, a senior living community outside of Chicago, and Westminster Village, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Scottsdale, AZ, are adopting Sentric’s full Sentrics360 clients, the company announced in separate statements.

“We see the future of senior living integrated with technology,” Plymouth Place Senior Director Katie Freese said in a statement. “Whether it’s a device to make seniors more comfortable, advancing safer protocols or modalities that will enhance their active lifestyle and customer service experience.”

The 360 service runs the gamut from providing entertainment technology, to fall detection and emergency monitoring, to administrative tools for staff members.

When Sentrics first launched its 360SM solution in 2020, it included contract tracing and case management to long-term care communities, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News reported at the time.

Overall, senior living and care spaces are pushing for more advanced, comprehensive fall detection technologies. One fall detection system that relied on video monitoring, SafelyYou Guardian, cut time spent on the ground from falling by 30 minutes over the course of 10 months, one study showed.
