A senior living company has been recognized among top US employers for showing a commitment to excellence in its human resource and employee enrichment practices.

Chelsea/Grand Rapids, MI-based Brio Living Services, formerly known as United Methodist Retirement Communities & Porter Hills, is the only long-term care provider listed among the 212 national winners named to the summer 2024 list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association for Business Resources. Parasol Alliance, a technology solutions provider for the senior living industry, also made the national list.

This is the second year in a row Brio made the national list and the 22nd consecutive year of the company being recognized as a Best and Brightest organization in West Michigan

“This award is incredibly meaningful because it is based directly on the feedback of our team members on their experience at Brio,” Brio President and CEO Steve Fetyko said in a statement.

Winning organizations were assessed by an independent research firm that reviews several measures, including compensation and benefits, employee education and development, recruitment and retention, employee achievement and recognition, creative wellness and well-being solutions, and work-life balance.

NABR identifies best human resource practices and provides benchmarking for companies.

“These winning companies are truly innovative in their employee engagement execution and have prioritized making a significant impact on their culture,” NABR and Best & Brightest Programs President and CEO Jennifer Kluge said in a statement. “With a focus on their employees as the top priority, this powerful community of the nation’s elite leaders have gained a competitive edge.”
