Ecumen names Tami Haley chief nursing officer

Tami Haley has been promoted to chief nursing officer at Shoreview, MN-based Ecumen. Her previous role was clinical director and regional nurse consultant. 

Haley is a registered nurse, a licensed assisted living director and a public health nurse. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a Master of Science in nursing leadership and management. She was also selected to be a fellow of the American Nurses Advocacy Institute in 2022.

Ecumen is a non-profit organization providing independent living, assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing communities, as well as in-home and community-based services such as home care, hospice, physical and occupational therapy, adult day services and an online durable goods medical store. The organization also provides new development, management and consulting services.

Lifespace Communities appoints Heather Julian chief marketing officer

Heather Julian has been named Dallas-based Lifespace Communities’ new chief marketing officer. 

Julian previously was chief marketing officer at BorrowWorks and has worked as vice president as Caliber Home Loans and head of marketing at Supreme Lending. She also has a undergraduate degree in economics and finance from Arkansas Tech University. 

Lifespace Communities is a not-for-profit, owning and operating 16 continuing care retirement / life plan communities across seven states.

Western States Lodging and Management names Aaron Barrus VP of facilities

Aaron Barrus has been announced as the new vice president of facilities at South Jordan, UT-based Western States and Lodging and Management

In this role, Barrus will oversee maintenance, renovations, on-property systems and purchasing at WSLM’s three divisions: senior living, hospitality and Nxt Property Management. 

Barrus is a licensed general contractor and previously ran his own facility repair and maintenance business, working on both residential and commercial properties. He also was a licensed nursing home administrator for five years and has an MBA and undergraduate degree in marketing from Utah State University.

Emerald Communities announces Sandra Cook as VP of marketing and PR

Sandra Cook has been hired as vice president of marketing and public relations at Redmond, WA-based Emerald Communities following Kay Wallen’s retirement from the position. 

Cook previously was vice president of new development sales for Aegis Living and spent seven years working in hospitality before switching to senior living in 2008. 

She received a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management from Universidad de Occidente in Mazatlán, Mexico.

Front Porch welcomes Pierre-Marie Leprince as corporate culinary director

Master Chef Pierre-Marie Leprince has joined Front Porch Communities and Services as its corporate culinary director, a new position responsible for transforming dining experiences for Front Porch’s 16 residential communities across California.

Leprince’s culinary journey has spanning locations from Paris to Beijing and beyond. Front Porch said he plans to tailor menus based on local preferences and connections, with chefs having the creative freedom to craft unique dining experiences, all with the goal of positive affecting residents’ wellness and engagement.

Westminster Village North names Ruth Fuchs executive director

Ruth Fuchs has been hired as executive director at Westminster Village North, a BHI Senior Living Community in Indianapolis, IN. 

Fuchs previously worked as an administrator for 10 years and then as director of operations for four years at Hickory Creek. She has a Bachelor of Science in health services from the University of Southern Indiana and is currently working towards a master’s degree in health administration. 

“I look forward to working with a faith-based non-for-profit organization that will allow me to accomplish great things while adding value to our residents’ and family members’ lives,” said Fuchs.

Avery Point announces Sheena Lewis director of general services 

Sheena Lewis has been named director of general services at Avery Point, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Short Pump, VA. 

Lewis began with Erickson in 2018 at its Riderwood Village community in Maryland. There, she first supported philanthropic efforts, later transitioning to the position of re-occupancy manager and then assistant director of general services. 

Lewis also was named one of Erickson’s 2024 Leaders of the Year. She has an undergraduate degree in communications, with a concentration in marketing, from the University of Maryland.

Springpoint CEO appointed to Vision Centre Advisory Council

Anthony A. Argondizza, Wall Township, NJ-based Springpoint president and CEO, has been appointed to the Dekalb, IL-based Vision Centre Advisory Council. 

The Vision Centre’s advisory council supports and prepares future aging services professionals, by facilitating partnerships and connections between universities and senior living providers. 

Argondizza has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has served as Springpoint’s president and CEO for almost 30 years, according to his Linkedin profile.

LCS names Aron Spector 2024 Chef of the Year

Aron Spector, executive chef at Palm City, FL-based Sandhill Cove, has been named LCS’s 2024 Chef of the Year. 

Spector won the title and a $10,000 prize with his Akaushi beef, purple sticky rice and Chinese okra in a three-round cooking competition hosted by LCS at the Sysco Test Kitchens in August in Houston. 

Spector graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando, FL. 

Kevala names Lauren Wilson VP, general manager

Lauren Wilson has been appointed vice president and general manager at Kevala, a workforce management start-up based in Seattle. 

In this role, Wilson will lead Kevala’s growing senior housing / long-term care business. 

She previously was vice president of sales and marketing at TSOLife and director of enterprise sales at iN2L. She is a member of the 2025 Data and Analytics Conference Program Committee of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing and Care and is active with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Wilson has a Bachelor of Science in marketing and business administration management from the University of Oregon.
