2025 McKnight's Pinnacle Awards artwork - entry deadline approaching

The final deadline to enter the 2025 McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards is Friday, Nov. 1 — one week away.

Winners will be announced Dec. 10 and will be recognized March 20 at an in-person reception and ceremony in Chicago.

This is the third year for the McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards. Nominees should have 20 or more years of experience in the field and work in the senior living, skilled nursing, home care or related fields. They will be honored for setting standards, driving change, providing guidance and inspiring colleagues and clients around them.

Entries will be judged by an independent panel of respected long-term care experts and stakeholders. Multiple winners will be named in each category as warranted.

The 2025 awards categories:

  • Agent of Change Award
  • Industry Ally (for elected officials, high-level government administrators, trade group members, analysts and other thought leaders, among others)
  • Inspiration Award
  • Marketplace Influencer Award (for vendors/sponsors who have helped move the sector forward)
  • Setting the Standard Award
  • Thought Leader Award
  • Unsung Hero Award

Past winners have included standouts from small and large organizations as well as from nonprofits, for-profits, associations, academic institutions, marketplace contributors and other groups. Read about the 2023 and 2024 winning classes.

In addition, one Career Achievement Award will be bestowed as determined by program organizers. 

National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care co-founder and former President and CEO Bob Kramer, who also founded the think tank Nexus Insights, received the Pinnacle Awards’ inaugural Career Achievement Award in 2023. The 2024 Career Achievement Award went to Mark Parkinson, then president and CEO of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.
