Nursing homes and some other long-term/post-acute care providers are being encouraged to participate in a survey to see how their organization’s technology stacks up in terms of enhancing resident or patient care and safety.

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives invites skilled nursing facilities to participate in the 2023 Digital Health Most Wired Survey, the American Health Care Association said in a website post. In addition to skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation/extended/chronic care facilities, also eligible are acute hospitals and ambulatory clinics.

The survey is an international benchmarking and recognition program that serves as a comprehensive digital health check-up for healthcare organizations from across the world. It highlights innovative technology efforts that are being used to improve resident or patient outcomes and promote change in the healthcare IT industry.

Facilities are ranked on a scale of 1 to 10, with those achieving the highest two rankings rated as healthcare technology leaders, according to the DHMW website.

The deadline for organizations to complete the online survey is June 6.

Some examples of technology innovations cited in the survey include telehealth solutions, price transparency, cost-analysis tools, access to data at the point of care, and tools to engage residents, patients and their families during the care process.

CHIME recognizes top-ranked “Most Wired” organizations at an annual recognition ceremony in the fall.
