Erica Dewan’s career has not been very long, but she has built up quite the list of achievements.
As the vice president of care transitions at Ignite Medical Resorts, she manages approximately 2,000 residents per month, including a team of approximately 45 care and transition employees across 21 locations in seven states.
Dewan was instrumental in the opening of Ignite’s McHenry, IL, location and subsequently was promoted to her current position. Her nominators described her as having a “roll up your sleeves” attitude that backs down to no challenge. With one of the busiest care transition teams in the country that discharges 100 people home a month, Dewan’s leadership has helped guide Ignite through busy times and establish the Ignite brand.
“Erica’s enthusiasm and passion for seniors comes through in everything she does. As a social worker, she is constantly advocating and assisting people in their time of need,” said her nominators. “As we grew over previous years, it became clear that we needed a VP of care transitions to help organize, train and mentor all of our care transition teams, and Erica was the obvious choice. She is a rising star in our company and someone who has done a lot in her short career. We look forward to continuing to grow Erica as we mature as an organization.”
