For the fifth consecutive year, PointClickCare can boast that its cloud based software solutions for long-term care providers are Best in KLAS.

PointClickCare was one of several tech giants who serve the long-term care industry that were honored as part of KLAS Research’s slate of awards.

“We are honored to be recognized as the leader in long-term care software,” PointClickCare Chief Revenue Officer James Yersh said in a statement, “and are especially thrilled by the strong results in the areas most important to the customers we support.”

The Best in KLAS 2024 winners were announced Wednesday.

PointClickCare was rated the top long-term care software provider for the fifth year in a row, and MatrixCare, another senior living and care software giant, won awards in three categories: Home Health – Independent – Large, with a score of 75.6; Home Health – Independent – Small scoring 82.7; and Hospice – Independent, scoring 77.9.

This also is the fifth year in a row MatrixCare has won at least one KLAS award, the company stated. Both companies also were top honorees last year, McKnight’s reported.

Both PointClickCare and MatrixCare have announced updates to their platforms over the past few months, much of which are designed to make various systems interoperable with one another across the spectrum of care, such as between hospitals and nursing homes or senior living communities.

Among other providers that cater to long-term care, the software company EPIC won an award for its telehealth platform and its patient portal, MyChart. Almost half of all users of the latter, 47%, are older adults, one study found.

As part of the rankings that led to its top placement, PointClickCare received high marks in Quality of Training, Implementation and Strategic Expertise, the company said.

The KLAS awards are based on feedback and evaluations that the research team has with health professionals in the United States, KLAS Research CEO Adam Gale said in a statement.

“Winning a Best in KLAS award is not just about recognition,” he stated. “It shows the trust and confidence that healthcare providers place in their technology partners. We are proud to recognize 2024’s winners. Their unwavering dedication to improving patient outcomes is wonderfully inspiring.”
