A new joint venture has created American Health Advantage of Pennsylvania, an institutional special needs plan, or I-SNP, to serve Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries who live in nursing homes in 12 counties in the Keystone State.

The joint venture includes American Health Plans, a division of American Health Partners, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, HCF Management, CHR Consulting Services, and Highmark Health, a Pittsburgh-based insurance company, through its subsidiary, endorsed. LLC. 

“Long-term nursing home residents have very specific healthcare needs. American Health Advantage of Pennsylvania, and its clinical arm, TruHealth of Pennsylvania, will provide these individuals with a proven model of care that’s uniquely designed for nursing home residents,” stated Stephanie Madia-Mobley, senior vice president of strategy growth and business development at Highmark Health.
