Home healthcare has “demonstrated high value” throughout the pandemic, so “we would expect that home care and hospice will be high on the health reform agenda for the new administration and Congress,” National Association of Home Care & Hospice President Bill Dombi told the McKnight’s Home Care Daily.

Dombi said he looks forward to working with lawmakers under a President Joe Biden administration and a House and Senate with Democratic majorities.

“We are especially heartened by President-elect Biden’s very public support during the campaign for home- and community-based care and are anxious to see his proposals move forward,” he said. “Similar support for Medicaid home care was shown in the House-passed HEROES Act last year, and we hope that such a policy direction will be brought into 2021 by both houses of Congress.”
