The former owner of a now-closed assisted living facility in Pennsylvania has been sentenced to six months in prison, to be followed by two years of supervised release, after pleading guilty of not paying employment taxes to the IRS. He also will pay a fine of $100.

Michael Boggs, who owned Meadowview Manor in McVeytown, PA, faced up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000.

According to the criminal information at the time he was charged in August 2019, from 2014 through 2016, Boggs withheld payroll taxes from his employees but did not remit the collected amounts to the IRS.

Boggs is to report to prison next month.
