Skilled nursing provider Aspire Health Group of Florida is the most recent healthcare organization to partner with Rasmussen University to help train future nurses and other caregivers to boost the long-term care industry’s workforce pipeline.

Rasmussen is a national university with five campuses across the Sunshine State and online programs as well.

“Collaborations like the one we have with Rasmussen University are crucial for our mission to provide high-quality care across our Florida communities,” Aspire Health Group CEO Nathan Freund stated. “We are committed to upskilling our employee base and ensuring they have the best opportunities to grow their careers. This alliance allows our staff to gain the education they need to meet the demands of our growing population and continue delivering exceptional care to our residents.”

With a corporate grant from Aspire covering up to 20% of costs, qualified employees can save on university training programs in programs such as practical nursing, professional nursing and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program. Employees also can apply for grants to be applied to various other programs, both on campus or online, to advance their careers.

“This alliance comes at a pivotal time as we work to address the need to fill more LPN and RN positions in Florida’s long-term healthcare facilities,” said Rasmussen University President and Chief Academic Officer Paula Singer. “We are proud to support Aspire Health Group in developing their talent from within, offering their more than 6,000 employees career advancement opportunities and a chance to make a meaningful impact in their communities.”

Aspire joins other senior living and care providers such as St. Louis Park, MN-based Saint Therese and St. Paul, MN-based Presbyterian Homes & Services in having agreements with Rasmussen University.
