Argentum has unveiled a new web tool, the Education Pipeline, to help senior living professionals and job-seekers locate and connect with relevant college programs.

“We can never attend all the recruiting events or support every program where we operate,” said Pam Engle, who leads Argentum’s Human Resources Executive Roundtable, which provided input in the product’s development. “This tool is invaluable for our corporate planning and is also something that recruiters and hiring managers can use at the local level.”

Engle is senior vice president of people and administration at New Perspective Senior Living.

The tool, Argentum said, is meant to address an issue identified by industry leaders in the organization’s surveys and listening sessions: Although thousands of education programs exist across the country, they have difficulty evaluating the range of programs in a particular region specific to senior living careers.

Thirteen 13 senior living occupations are featured on the site, among them nursing aides, registered nurses, cooks and executive directors. Visitors to the website can search by state and county to find programs of interest. The site reports on how many students completed each program in the past two years, along with contact information for each school.

Argentum is making the resource available to the public as part of its Senior Living Works initiative, which launched in 2018 as a way to help raise awareness of senior living careers and support industry connections to education from K-12 through the university level. More than 520 Senior Living Works ambassadors have signed on to build awareness and connections in their communities..

“This web resource was the next evolution of Argentum’s commitment to growing the pipeline of workers in senior living careers,” said the organization’s president and CEO, James Balda.
