Moving medical records from analog to digital continues to be an important goal within the senior living space.

New York-basked senior care and services provider St. John’s recently announced it is collaborating with Early Intervention Systems on a pilot program that would improve communication in their facilities and move their caregiver logs online.

EIS will provide an “advanced digital platform” to streamline communication and better coordinate care through the St. John’s community, company officials stated.

St. John’s serves roughly 1,000 seniors and families within the Rochester, NY, region. The company’s care services range from skilled nursing to hospice and rehab and treating patients with dementia. Its enhanced assisted living residences provide services including diabetic management and mobility aids.

“The pilot program will provide an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the digitized caregiver log system in a real-world setting, measuring the impact on care delivery, time savings, and communication efficiency,” St. John’s said in the statement. “Both EIS and St. John’s are eager to leverage technology to overcome traditional challenges in senior care and achieve superior outcomes for residents.”

EIS, which first launched in 2019, is a startup software company that specifically targets senior living communities and memory-care residents, according to the company website.

“Our collaboration with St. John’s represents a significant step forward in our mission to empower caregivers and ensure that our elders age with dignity and grace,” said EIS CEO Nathalya Ramirez in a statement.

“We are thrilled to partner with Early Intervention Systems in this exciting initiative,” said Christine Caplan, St. John’s Enhanced Assisted Living Services Administrator, in a statement. “By embracing digital solutions, we can enhance our ability to deliver person-centered care and ensure that our residents receive the support they need to thrive.”
