Sagely promotes Hollie Kemp to chief operating officer

Hollie Kemp has been promoted to chief operating officer at Sagely, a Hawaii-based senior living resident engagement platform.

Kemp joined Safely as executive vice president in 2019 and will continue to be responsible for the company’s strategic operations, growth plans and produce enhancement efforts. 

During her tenure as executive vice president, Sagely expanded its customer base around the country and Canada and now is looking to expand overseas. Kemp’s experience as a wellness and engagement programming expert helped Sagely revamp its customer onboarding and ongoing support offering to better address client needs. 

Kemp has a background in senior living, resident experience and dementia care programming. She formerly served in senior positions at Watercrest, Senior Lifestyle Corp. and Compass Pointe Healthcare System.

Kemp received a Best of the Best award by Argentum for Senior Lifestyle Corp.’s Essence aromatherapy program and was recognized as one of Argentum’s 2019 Senior Living Leaders Under 40. 

Retirement Unlimited names Shuntay Carter executive director for The Ashleigh at Lansdowne

Shuntay Carter as executive director for The Ashleigh at Lansdowne, a Retirement Unlimited Inc. independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Leesburg, VA.

Carter brings nearly 10 years of experience working with the senior living population, including skilled nursing and assisted living. She has a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Campbell University.

Juniper Village at Meadville announces two new hires

Juniper Village at Meadville in Pennsylvania welcomes Gina Trace as director of sales and marketing and Sherry Barzak as Connections director.

In her new role, Trace will handle the community outreach referral program, onsite tours, marketing and promotions. She also will be the liaison with Meadville organizations and the city.

Trace earned a degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA. After working several years, she took time off to raise her family and work in the family business, Trace Lawn and Landscaping, where she led sales and marketing efforts.

In her new role, Barzak is responsible for researching, planning and organizing activities for the residents and assisting them in maintaining social connections. 

Barzak earned a bachelor’s degree in life-span development, early childhood through geriatric, at Ohio State University. She is a certified activities consultant through the National Certification Counsel for Activity Professionals and was a trustee on its national board. 

Barzak serves on the state board and is the professional development chair for the Pennsylvania Activity Professional Association, teaches classes for seniors at the Meadville Senior Center, and helps with sports at Cochranton Junior/Senior High School.

SmartLinx adds VP of demand generation

Dana Córdova has been appointed vice president of demand generation at Iselin, NJ-based workforce management technology provider SmartLinx Solutions.

In her new role, Córdova is responsible for driving demand for SmartLinx solutions by helping to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition to cultivate long-term relationships within the senior living and post-acute care industries.

Córdova has more than 18 years of experience scaling companies in the technology and entrepreneurial space. She will focus on the strategy, planning and execution of all marketing programs, focused on pipeline growth and customer acquisition.
