Honor, launched in 2014, has secured $140 million in Series D funding, the home care startup announced Tuesday.

With this latest round of funding, the company, which partners with independently owned home care agencies and other integrated senior care providers through its Honor Care Network, has raised $255 million. The company said it provides non-medical home care services to older adults in more than 1,000 communities nationwide and has provided more than 5 million hours of care.

“Honor has demonstrated their ability to leverage technology to elevate and expand services to older adults who want to remain in their homes and to improve conditions for home care aides,” said Anika Penn of Baillie Gifford, which led Honor’s latest round of funding. “We are excited to partner with their team as they scale up and drive improvement throughout the ecosystem of this $30 billion industry.”
