A man has been charged with attempted murder for an incident involving a worker at a Tennessee assisted living and memory care community in which windows at the community also allegedly were damaged.

The incident reportedly happened after midnight on Aug. 20. A worker at Northshore Heights Senior Living, Knoxville, TN, told authorities she received a photo of her vehicle, which was parked at the facility, via Facebook Messenger from Nicholas Boggs. When she left the building, Boggs allegedly shot at her from behind some landscaping.

The woman said she heard “three loud bangs strike the entryway” when she ran back inside the building, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, which also reported that windows in the facility’s doors were damaged.

Boggs faces two additional felony charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, according to the sheriff’s office. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3.

The owner of the senior living community did not respond to a request for comment.
