McKnight’s Senior Living staff members have added three more journalism awards to their collection with the announcement of the winners of the 31st annual Awards for Publication Excellence, or Apex Awards.
The annual competition drew almost 1,300 entries from all over the world, according to organizers. McKnight’s Senior Living won three Awards of Excellence:
Editorial Director John O’Connor received an Award of Excellence in the Social Media – Best Series of Blog Posts category for his online blogs for the McKnight’s Senior Living website.
Editor Lois A. Bowers, O’Connor and Art Director Mark Speakman won an Award of Excellence in a Best Websites category for mcknightsseniorliving.com.
Bowers also received an Award of Excellence in the Writing – Regular Departments & Columns category for the Editor’s Column that appears in the print magazine.
Sister media brand McKnight’s Long-Term Care News won four awards in the competition.
The McKnight’s Senior Living team has earned a total of 21 journalism awards in 2019.
