Anne Meara, RN, MBA, has joined The New Jewish Home, New York City, as senior vice president of business development.
Meara has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare operations management and development. At The New Jewish Home, she will be responsible for strengthening existing programs, exploring innovative ideas and progressive models to enhance resident and patient services, and promoting the system’s older adult services to hospitals, physician groups and others.
Before joining The New Jewish Home, Meara led departments at New York University Langone Health System and Montefiore Health System. She developed and implemented care management systems and organizational infrastructures to expand and optimize services.
Meara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Columbia University and an MBA from Adelphi University.
John Quevillon is new executive director at Benchmark Senior Living at Woburn
John Quevillon has joined Benchmark Senior Living as the new executive director at its assisted living and memory care community in Woburn, MA.
Quevillon brings more than 20 years of healthcare and medical expertise to the role. Most recently, he was regional clinical manager of New England for Community Surgical Supply. He also spent more than 12 years as the director of pulmonary, neurophysiology and sleep disorders at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
Quevillon earned his undergraduate degree from California College.
Marcus Cordova promoted at Summit Vista
Marcus Cordova has been promoted to associate executive director at Summit Vista, a life plan community in Taylorsville, UT, where he will advise operational departments in an effort to ensure the highest, ongoing resident experience for the community’s active, retired adults.
“Marcus will have responsibility for the departments in general services, which include maintenance, facilities, housekeeping, security, transportation and our reception,” said Summit Vista CEO Mark Erickson. “Because he will retain his director of culinary arts position, he is a valuable and versatile leader at Summit Vista, with 10 years in senior housing and more than 25 years in the food industry.”
A Denver native, Cordova apprenticed under several chefs before opening his first restaurant in Monte Vista, Co. Before joining Summit Vista in 2017, he was owner and chef of chef de cuisine at a Denver-area country club, the executive chef and general manager of a specialty food market, and the food and beverage director and executive chef for a large retirement community.
Sabrina Bruce-Rivera, RN, hired as director of Peabody Club
Sabrina Bruce-Rivera, RN, has been hired as director of The Peabody Club at Integrace Copper Ridge, Sykesville, MD.
In this position, she will oversee the daily operations and activities of the day and night program designed for neurocognitive support. The program is limited to 12 members per session.
A registered nurse for 20 years, Bruce-Rivera is an experienced care provider and administrator in assisted living settings. She is a former manager and owner of Grace Manor Senior Assisted Living in Gwynn Oak, MD, where her duties included coordinating recreational, social and physical activities for residents. She also has served as a RN and charge nurse for DaVita Baltimore County Dialysis for the past 10 years.
Raymond Thompson selected as executive director at Swenson Healthcare
Raymond Thompson, formerly of Life Care Centers of America, where he held senior management positions for the past 11 years, has been selected as executive director of Swenson Healthcare, a Tacoma, WA, clinical practice group focused on the care of residents and patients in long-term care facilities.
Most recently, Thompson was senior executive director for Cottesmore of Life Care, which offers assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and physician services in Gig Harbor, WA, and Life Care Center of Port Orchard, which offers skilled nursing and rehabilitation in Port Orchard, WA. He also served as Life Care’s division vice president for the Northwest Division, where he was responsible for the overall operation of 29 facilities caring for more than 2,300 residents / patients daily.
In 2011, Thompson received the Facility Leadership Award from the American College of Health Care Administrators. During his tenure with Life Care, he received both the President’s Award and Facility of the Year Award in recognition of his leadership and performance.
Thompson began his healthcare career as a licensed practical nurse in the US Army. He holds both an undergraduate degree in occupational education and a graduate certification in long-term healthcare administration from Texas State University.
Assisted Living Locators expands executive leadership team as brand hits 100th franchise
Assisted Living Locators, a Scottsdale, AZ-based senior care referral and placement agency, has expanded its senior management team as it continues to execute plans for future growth. The brand recently hit its 100th franchise milestone.
Russell Morgan will join the executive team as chief operating officer, and Mark Alivero, who formerly served as COO, will assume the position of chief financial officer and chief strategy officer.
Morgan, a Portland, OR, Assisted Living Locators franchisee who previously had a career in digital content and communications, will oversee Assisted Living Locators’ Integrated Network (ALL-IN) platform supporting franchise and business operations, as well as manage vendor relations and consumer marketing initiatives.
Alivero will continue to direct all financial and legal actions of the company and lead overall business strategy. He also will provide leadership for franchisee mentoring and coaching.
