Mike Dollander joins Cadence Living as VP of operations – Southeast region

Mike Dollander has joined Scottsdale, AZ-based Cadence Living as vice president of operations – Southeast region.

In this role, he is be responsible for expanding the organization’s senior housing presence in that part of the country. Cadence currently offers independent living, assisted living and/or memory care at eight communities in Arizona and California and is involved in three projects in Atlanta and one project in Nashville, TN. Yesterday, the company announced that it has partnered with Reliant Group Management in the acquisition of The Windham, a 200-unit independent and assisted living community in Fresno, CA.

Dollander will be based in the Atlanta area.

Before joining Cadence, Dollander spent nine years at Atlanta-based PruittHealth Corp. in many different roles, including the management of several assisted living portfolios in Georgia and South Carolina. He also has been an owner/operator in senior living in Georgia.

Mike earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Georgia.

David Schupack promoted to executive director of The Watermark at Trinity

David Schupack

David Schupack has been hired as executive director at The Watermark at Trinity, an assisted living and memory care community in Trinity, FL. He will oversee daily operations of the community and seek to maintain an engaging atmosphere for residents and their families.

Schupack joins the community from sister property The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, FL, where he has been associate executive director for three years.

He began his career with Watermark Retirement Communities as a dishwasher while he was in high school. After college, he ventured into the hospice and home care industry, most notably serving as a client services manager for Bayada Home Health Care.

He then rejoined Watermark Retirement Communities in 2014 at The Watermark at East Hill in Southbury, CT. There, Schupack worked his way up from business office support to associate executive director at the community before relocating to St. Petersburg to serve as associate executive director at The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay.

Schupack earned his undergraduate degree in health services administration and his MBA degree, with a concentration in healthcare management, from Springfield College. He has a certification as a dementia practitioner.

Jennifer Anthony hired as managing director of IT at Lorien Health Services

Jennifer Anthony

Jennifer Anthony has been hired as managing director of information technology at Ellicott City, MD-based Lorien Health Services, which offers assisted living in five locations in Maryland as well as Parkinson’s care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, home care, dialysis, ventilator and tracheotomy care, hospice and other services.

In this new role, Anthony will be responsible for managing the strategy and execution of all IT initiatives for Lorien. Such initiatives include overseeing technical and web development projects, identifying new market opportunities and leading a team to find solutions to adequately manage daily business activities.

A military veteran, Anthony began her military service in 1998 as a computer systems operator for the U.S. Air Force. She served in several roles, including master instructor and project manager.

In 2005, Anthony was hand-selected to manage the procurement and installation of a Department of Defense global weather communication systems valued at more than $400 million. She also directed the operations and maintenance of a $41 million cyber weapons system upgrade.

In 2009, Anthony was selected to serve as a first sergeant and spent the next four years of her career in the operations, medical and aircraft maintenance areas. In this role, she was responsible for leading teams ranging from 145 to 750 people. She was the primary adviser to all senior stakeholder programs and procedures regarding staffing, recruitment and retention, employee training and development, and employee relations.

In 2017, Anthony was transferred to serve as the air, education and training command, cyberspace operations career field manager, where she directed the development and use of 11,000 cyberspace warfare and operations professionals.

Anthony earned an undergraduate degree in information systems, as well as a Master of Science degree in leadership and executive coaching, from Bellevue University. She also attended the Community College of the Air Force from 2002 to 2011, graduating with multiple associate degrees in information systems technology, human resources and military science.  

HHHunt names three new leaders for properties development team

HHHunt has announced new leadership roles in its Properties Development Division, which acquires, develops and constructs senior living communities and apartments.

Robert Chappelle

Robert Chappelle has been promoted to vice president of development and construction. In this role, he is responsible for leading the properties development team and overseeing all activities from site acquisition, development, entitlement and construction of HHHunt senior living and apartment living communities.

Chappelle joined HHHunt in 2013 and formerly was director of product development and design and senior project manager.  

Scott Hale

Scott Hale has been promoted to director of construction. In this role, he is responsible for the management and oversight of construction activities for HHHunt senior living and apartment living communities, including field supervision of subcontractors, financial oversight and reporting for all construction projects.

Hale joined HHHunt in 2015 and has more than 25 years of development and construction experience.

Ashley Peace

Ashley Peace has the joined the team as director of real estate development. She is responsible for managing land use development and entitlement processes for HHHunt senior living and apartment living communities throughout Virginia.

Peace has more than a decade of real estate development experience.
