Healthcare technology platform PointClickCare launched Mealtime Solutions, a new food service management system, powered by MealSuite, Sept. 17.
The idea, the company said, is to help skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities navigate some of the challenges involved in food service staffing shortages, budgeting, costs and quality control.
The technology partners senior living and care providers with food vendors and automated communications between front and back-of-house teams. Mealtime Solutions offers several options tailored to organization size and venues of care, giving providers the ability to choose the features that best suit their needs, according to PointClickCare.
“Mealtime Solutions supports customers from procurement to production and feature bi-directional information flow with multiple food distributors for accurate costing and easier ordering,” PointClickCare told the McKnight’s Business Daily.
Additionally, according to the company, the technology assists with food safety processes and supports compliance with regulations. And MealtimeSolutions provides nutrient analysis reporting.
The tech enables point-of-sale services, including customizable meal packages, staff dining and concessions kiosks. The streamlined process, according to PointClickCare, helps providers stay on budget.
