Covenant Living promotes Corey Kallheim to general counsel
Corey Kallheim has been promoted to general counsel at Covenant Living.
Kallheim succeeds David Erickson in the role vacated when Erickson was named president and CEO in June. Kallheim has been with Covenant Living for almost two and a half years, serving as vice president and as associate general counsel.
Prior to Covenant Living, Kallheim worked for more than 17 years within the legal department in various roles with LeadingAge.
Bethesda announces retirement of COO Rick Summers, hiring of Kimberly Erickson as successor
Rick Summers will retire as chief operating officer of Bethesda Senior Living communities and Kimberly Erickson will succeed him in the position.
Summers was COO for 20 years and will retire in November.
Jefferson Community Health & Life names Bill Welch interim CEO
Bill Welch has been named the interim CEO at Jefferson Community Health & Life. The organization includes Cedarwood Assisted Living and Gardenside, a 40-bed long-term care facility.
Welch was CEO of Jefferson from 1993 to 2013. Since his retirement, he has served as interim CEO at Crete, Friend, Central City and Geneva.
Commonwealth names Joshua Rivera VP of operations
Joshua Rivera has been named vice president of operations at Commonwealth Senior Living.
Rivera has 17 years of senior living industry experience and most recently was the regional director of operations at Senior Lifestyle Corp. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Western Governors University.
Juniper promotes Colby Johle to regional director of operations, Texas
Colby Johle has been promoted to regional director of operations, Texas, at Juniper Communities.
Johle has more than two decades of experience in senior living, memory care and skilled nursing. He is a registered nurse and holds an assisted living certification.
Kendal on Hudson adds Carmela Carino as CFO
Carmela Carino has been named the chief financial officer at Kendal on Hudson.
Carino brings more than 30 years of experience in not-for-profit and healthcare accounting and financial operations.
Lifespace Communities names David Gustafson executive director of Meadow Lake
David Gustafson has been named the executive director of Meadow Lake, a Lifespace Community.
Gustafson previously served in leadership roles for Aegis Living, Discovery Senior Living and Watermark Retirement Communities. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida. He is also a licensed administrator for assisted living communities in Texas and a licensed dementia care practitioner.
Lifespace hires Patrick Noonan as executive director for Harbor’s Edge
Patrick Noonan has been named the executive director for Harbor’s Edge, a Lifespace Community.
Noonan has more than 30 years of experience leading senior living operations and managing healthcare administration, most recently serving as executive director at The Glenview at Pelican Bay in Naples, FL.
Morning Pointe names Kim Champagne executive director in Frankfort, KY
Kim Champagne has been named executive director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Frankfort, KY.
She has a bachelor’s degree in human services and is a certified dementia practitioner and a nationally certified executive director through Argentum. She has been an executive director, business office director and regional director of dining. She also is certified in the Eden Alternative person-directed care program.
Blakehurst adds Steve Newcombe as director of food and beverage
Steve Newcombe has been named the director of food and beverage at Blakehurst.
Newcombe comes to Blakehurst with 30 years of food service industry experience. His background includes culinary leadership positions at other retirement communities as well as operational management in fine dining. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in chemical engineering. He is a certified dietary manager and ServSafe proctor.
Ahepa Senior Living hires Jeff Hoyt as IT manager
Jeff Hoyt has been hired as the information technology manager at Ahepa Senior Living.
Hoyt has worked for the Wesleyan Church World Headquarters, Kronos and Leidos Health, and he most recently was a senior systems engineer for Infosys in Indianapolis for six years. He attended Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and has certifications in A+ and Network + and is Information Technology Infrastructure Library-certified.
Anthem appoints Franshesca Billings community relations director for Franklin Place
Franshesca Billings has been named the community relations director at Franklin Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Franklin, WI.
Billings She brings more than 15 years of healthcare experience to the position. She previously was business development manager for Bright Star Care in Racine, WI. She also was a paramedic at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
Billings earned an associate degree in medical assisting and healthcare administration/marketing from Bryant and Stratton College.
Greenfields of Geneva promotes Eric Jansen, adds Brenon Sommers
Eric Jansen has been promoted to executive chef, and Brenon Sommers has joined as dining services director, at Greenfields of Geneva.
Jansen previously was the community’s sous chef for three years. Sommers has experience as a chef, in management and as a director of operations.
Health Dimensions Group names Will Erasmo regional director
Will Erasmo has been named the regional director of quality and clinical services at the Health Dimensions Group.
Since 2019, Erasmo has served as a clinical leader and nursing consultant at senior living and care organizations throughout the country. He is a registered nurse in several states, including Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Minnesota and Missouri, and he is certified in gerontological nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, he is a certified dementia practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Most recently, Erasmo was recognized as a 40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader by the Illinois Nurses Foundation.
Erasmo has an associate’s degree in nursing from Waubonsee Community College as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in registered nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Reiners has more than a decade of experience in founding and scaling successful startups. He started as an entrepreneur with Party Headphones and co-founded Eversound.
Interim HealthCare names Rexanne Domico president and COO
Rexanne Domico has been named the president and chief operating officer at Interim HealthCare.
Domico previously was CEO at HomeFree Pharmacy Services. She also has held leadership positions as president of Home Health Care Services at Brightspring and senior vice president at LHC Group.
Domico earned her bachelor’s degree in communications, business and journalism from Elon University.
UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation adds 5 members to board
The UMRC (United Methodist Retirement Communities)-Porter Hills Foundation, the fundraising arm of Brio Living Services, has announced five new members to its board from across Michigan.
The new members are Marjorie Almeda, DO, Mark Hamed, MD, Brenda Henning, Barbara Niess-May and Sherie Veramay.

Brio Living Services, formerly United Methodist Retirement Communities & Porter Hills, recently welcomed six new members to serve on its governing board. Those individuals from across the state represent a variety of backgrounds and expertise.
The new members are are Louis M. Berra, Natalie M. Brown, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Ben Miles, Jacqueline D. Taylor, PhD, Greg Tewksbury and Jennifer Tyler.
